The Port of Kiel, one of the most important cruise ports in the Baltic Sea region, kicked off its summer cruise season for 2023 on 1 April with the arrival of the AIDAluna. This year, the port expects 173 ship calls from no fewer than 19 different shipping companies. Carnival had to cancel the nine-day cruise originally planned for Friday from Southampton at short notice. The reason for this is necessary repairs to the ship's propulsion system, which has since returned to Kiel. Guests have already been contacted by Carnival.

Ab sofort ist der Jeckliner 4 von Tui Cruises buchbar. Diesmal startet die Eventreise am 15.09.24 in Kiel und dauert 4 Tage. Angelaufen werden Göteborg und Kopenhagen, auch ein Seetag ist vorgesehen. An Bord der Mein Schiff 3 treten unter anderem die Höhner auf sowie Janine Kunze und Marc Metzger. Weitere Künstler werden von Tui Cruises noch bekannt gegeben.

As Aida has announced, another ship will be sailing on Baltic Sea cruises. On alternating 3/4-day trips, Gothenburg and Danzig will be called at from Kiel. It will most likely be the Aidaluna. The trips can be booked immediately, and various fares are offered.

Tuicruises hat gemeldet, dass die geplanten Panorama-Fahrten mit der Mein Schiff 6 nicht ab Hamburg beginnen, sondern in Kiel starten. Zur Begründung führt Tui an, dass damit auf den 3/4 tägigen Fahrten interessante Routen möglich sind, so z.B. eine Fahrt durch die Schären in Stockholm. MSC Kreuzfahrten bietet ab dem 3. Juli 2021 Abfahrten aus Kiel an. Eingesetzt wird die MSCSeaview. Laut MSC sind auch Landgänge in Schweden und in Tallinn geplant. Weiter bietet MSC eine kostenfreie Umbuchung bis 21 Tage vor Reiseantritt an, wenn die Buchung bis zum 31.5.21 erfolgt, dieses Angebot gilt für alle Fahrten bis Ende Winter 21/22.

Aida is increasing departures for the "Ahoi Tours" (i.e. tours from German ports, currently without shore excursions). AIDAsol will initially be deployed from Kiel and then move to Warnemünde. The Kiel departures, which begin on 22.5.21, will then be taken over by AIDAprima, which, according to current plans, will remain in the Baltic Sea area throughout the summer. It is still unclear whether there will be departures from other ports in Germany.

Hapag Lloyd Cruises bietet auch wieder Kreuzfahrten ab/bis Kiel an, zum Einsatz kommt die Hanseatic Inspiration. Geplant sind 7tägige Fahrten ohne Landgang, dafür sollen aber Zodiac-Fahrten vor einigen Inseln sowie im Schärengarten vor Stockholm durchgeführt werden.

Aida is starting cruises from Kiel with AIDAsol. The trips, which begin on May 22nd, can be booked from May 12th via the Aida websites, among other channels. The cruises will be 3 or 4 days long and, due to the current situation, will still take place without shore excursions. Unfortunately, Aida has had to cancel various catalogue trips in return; further information on this is also available via the websites. UPDATE: Aida has launched new Ahoi tours from Kiel and Warnemünde. Bookable from today (May 26th, 2021).
