Mein Schiff 2 ends its Middle East season
The Mein Schiff 2 is ending its season in Dubai today and is sailing to the Mediterranean without guests. After a stop in Cape Town for fuel, it will return to regular service on 5 April.
A holiday on land is also welcome sometimes
I spent six days in Fuerteventura at the Jandia Princess Hotel, right on Pajara beach. It was all about relaxation: lots of time in the sea, delicious food and drink. Watersports are popular here, typical for the island. A bit of wind and even rain, but at 21 degrees it was totally okay.

Upon arrival, I spent the day on the cruise with lunch at the Fish Market restaurant and met a former colleague. In the afternoon, I explored Dubai's souks on a guided tour and learned a lot about Emirati culture. In the evening, I enjoyed excellent service and food at the Atlantik Restaurant and relaxed at the Aussenalster Bar.
