Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5 on their way to the Mediterranean

19.04.2026, 18:30: Tui Cruises has announced that Mein Schiff 4 and Mein Schiff 5 have successfully left the Orient region and are now on their way to the Mediterranean. Both ships are heading for Cape Town and will then return to their regular schedule.

Originally, some trips had been cancelled, but now the trips of the Mein Schiff 4, starting from Trieste on 17 May 2026, as well as the Mein Schiff 5, which will depart from Heraklion on 15 May 2026, can take place as planned.

Wybcke Meier, CEO of Tui Cruises, commented on the challenges of the past few weeks and thanked the captains, crews, and the teams on board and ashore for their professional commitment. She emphasised that the return to regular operations and the opportunity to offer guests the cancelled trips represent the cohesion and performance of Tui Cruises.

During the further relocation of the ships, the crew will re-board in Cape Town and Malta. The ships will be prepared for regular operations in order to welcome the first guests as planned in Trieste and Heraklion.

Affected guests and travel agency partners will be informed directly, and bookings will be automatically reactivated so that the trips can proceed smoothly. Tui Cruises will continue to provide further information on its website.
