Mein Schiff 4 uses shore power in Hamburg for the first time
The Mein Schiff 4 from Tui Cruises used shore power in Hamburg for the first time today. Tui Cruises is thus taking another step in the area of sustainable cruising. At the same time, Wybcke Meier is also calling on ports to continue investing in green shore power so that emissions are not relocated elsewhere.
The Tui Cruises fleet will be shore power-capable by 2024, with the necessary connections being retrofitted on Mein Schiff 2 and Mein Schiff 5 during shipyard stays, and Mein Schiff 7 will be equipped during construction.
