Blue Cruise to the Canary Islands
It's starting again. On Friday, 16.04.21 to be precise. Then Mein Schiff 2 from TUI Cruises awaits in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The TUI Cruises hygiene concept includes the offer of a PCR Covid test at a partner clinic; alternatively, you could arrange the test yourself. however, I advise against this unless it can be 100% ensured that the test result meets the formal requirements of the Spanish authorities.
That's why I've made an appointment at a Helios clinic. When making the appointment, you must also ensure that the sample collection is not older than 72 hours upon arrival in the Canary Islands.

We successfully completed this procedure once before in December. It sounded more complicated than it actually was in the end.

The appointment at the Helios clinic was very quick and straightforward after arranging it by phone. You need to bring your ship pass, identification, and ideally the completed data protection declaration. They also asked for the health insurance card, which was read to transfer data such as address etc. into the clinic's system.
The registration in the Spain Health Travel System must be completed before or after the test. Here I am following the instructions that Tui Cruises provides me online, as some steps are necessary to obtain the QR code, which will be checked by the authorities upon entry into Las Palmas. It is important that the form can only be filled out up to a certain point; further processing is only possible within a specific period before the planned departure. I downloaded the app, which then reminded me. The QR code can also be conveniently saved on the app.
