The Hamburg-based cruise company TUI Cruises is providing an insight into the new highlights of the Mein Schiff 7. It is currently being built in Turku, Finland. Even before its official commissioning in mid-May, the shipping company has already unveiled innovations. These innovations are guaranteed to amaze guests.

Große Freiheit: A Spectacle of Art

An outstanding feature on board is the new artwork in the Große Freiheit. This area is already known for its exclusive restaurants. It is also known for the redesigned Champagne Lounge. The artwork, created by the art studio Sino Sculpture, measures an impressive three metres in height. It is two metres in width. This makes it one of the largest works ever installed as a single piece on the Feel-Good Fleet. The installation presented a logistical challenge. The artwork had to be craned onto the deck. It had to be transported to its destination with considerable effort. Thanks to the thin mesh metal material used, the artwork appears extremely delicate despite its size and immediately catches the eye.

The design of the artwork is specifically coordinated with the Italian restaurant La Spezia. Christer Jäger is the Art & Signage Manager at TUI Cruises. He describes the artwork as "the most complex and elaborate we have ever installed."

Art that spans three floors

The atrium of the Mein Schiff 7 will also be enhanced by another work of art. It spans three floors. It is currently being installed by artists from the Aptum Lighting studio. The detailed work is supervised and assembled on-site by the artists.

Innovative design of the Suite Sun Deck

Another premiere on the Mein Schiff 7 is the design of the Suite Sun Deck. For the first time, it features painting instead of the usual foiling. The artist Artur Sala, new to the Mein Schiff fleet, is working with his eight-person team on exciting new designs. The covered pool will also receive a large, impressive mosaic.
