TUI Cruises: Routenänderung der Mein Schiff 4 und 6 im Jahr 2025

TUI Cruises: Route Change for Mein Schiff 4 and 6 in 2025

Tui Cruises has announced that the planned cruise with Mein Schiff 4 on 03.03.2025 cannot take place due to a route change. This decision was made in light of security-related developments in the Red Sea.

Mein Schiff 4 is on various voyages in the Orient from November 2024 to March 2025. At the end of this winter season, the ship was supposed to return to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal. TUI Cruises is closely monitoring the situation in the Red Sea. They are in close contact with global partners and security authorities. Therefore, the decision has been made to change the route. This ensures the safety of guests and crew.

TUI Cruises also announced today that the planned cruise with Mein Schiff 6, which was due to start on 09.04.2025, has to be cancelled due to a route change. The background to the decision is the relocation of Mein Schiff 6's route. This route leads to Asia from December 2024 to May 2025. However, in view of the current security situation in the Red Sea, the company has decided to adjust the route in advance.

Instead of sailing through the Suez Canal towards the Mediterranean, Mein Schiff 6 will set course for Africa from 07.05.2025. This will delay its arrival in the Mediterranean until mid-June 2025. This particularly affects the World Explorer voyages and combination trips that were scheduled to start on 09.04.2025 and 23.04.2025.

TUI Cruises has decided to cancel the entire cruise. This is being done to give the affected guests planning certainty. Part of the journey could still have taken place. However, the company is offering the affected passengers an attractive option: New World Explorer voyages departing on 09.04.2025 and 23.04.2025 from Hong Kong. In addition to Southeast Asia, they will also call at destinations in Africa. These include the Cape of Good Hope and the waterfalls in Mauritius.

TUI Cruises made similar adjustments in the spring and autumn of 2024. Now the company has decided to change the routes in spring 2025 as well and to offer new, attractive Africa voyages instead. Mein Schiff 4 will therefore not sail through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean as planned, but will set course for Africa. In order to reach the Mediterranean destination on time, the ship will leave the Orient early on 25.02.2025, which leads to the cancellation of several voyages.

This includes the combined trip on 24.02.2025, the 11-day Orient trip on 25.02.2025, as well as the 7-day trips between 01.03.2025 and 17.03.2025, and the Suez Canal transit trips on 22.03.2025 and 24.03.2025. TUI Cruises will offer affected guests alternative travel options.

For guests whose trips on the Mein Schiff 4 have been cancelled due to the route change, TUI Cruises has announced a straightforward cancellation process. Compensation has also been announced.

What happens next?

The booking will be automatically and free of charge cancelled in the coming days. As a small gesture of goodwill, TUI Cruises is offering a Mein Schiff travel credit. This credit includes a 10% discount on the cruise portion for a future new booking. The credit comes from the payment already made for the cancelled trip. It will be automatically set up in the coming days.
